Baby Room ("the app") turns two of your phones into a baby monitor: one phone stays in the baby's room, the other is the parent's phone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
On the baby-room phone the microphone is used only on the device to detect crying with on-device AI. Raw audio is never recorded, stored or uploaded. Only a "cry detected" event (a likelihood score and the time) is sent so the parent phone can be alerted.
The two-way voice call and the optional "Watch baby" video are streamed live between your own phones using Agora's real-time service. Streams are encrypted with a key that only phones signed in to your account receive, and they are never recorded or stored by us. The camera is used only while a parent is watching (a live peek of up to 5 minutes), and the baby-room phone shows "Parent is watching" during that time.

The doctor PDF report is created on your phone and shared only where you choose to share it.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Data is kept while your account exists. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account and all linked data by following the steps at babyroom-legal.vercel.app/delete.html. Crash reports and analytics are kept by Firebase for a limited period under Google's retention settings.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Calls and video are encrypted between your own phones. Keep your password private: anyone signed in to your account can use it.
The app is used by parents and caregivers. It monitors an infant's room but is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Baby Room is a monitoring aid, not a medical device.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
